Before Anything Comes Down

Utilities get disconnected and confirmed dead (power, gas, water and sewer) before a machine touches the structure. Where a permit is required we make sure it is in hand. Where asbestos or lead is a possibility on an older building, that gets identified and handled by the right people first, not discovered halfway through.

Clean Out, Not Just Down

Most of a demolition job is hauling. Knocking the structure down is the fast part. We separate what can be recycled (concrete, metal, clean wood), haul the rest, and leave the area backfilled, graded and clean. You should not be able to tell where the building was except that it is gone.

Tight Sites

In Olde Towne Portsmouth or the older parts of Norfolk, the challenge is not knocking something down, it is doing it without touching the structure four feet away. We size equipment for the access and work in controlled sections when we have to.
