We do the first phase of the job: the clearing, digging, grading and drainage that every other trade builds on top of.
What the Name Means
Site work is the phase nobody sees in the finished photos and the phase that determines whether the finished product holds up. A foundation poured in a sloppy hole. A driveway on an uncompacted base. A lot graded so water runs toward the house instead of away from it. Those are problems that surface later, and they are expensive to fix once there is a building sitting on top of them.
We would rather get it right the first time, because that works out cheaper for everyone involved.
Who We Work For
Homeowners, custom builders and general contractors throughout the Hampton Roads region. Jobs range from a half-day of brush clearing on a residential lot to complete site preparation for new construction, clearing, stripping, cut and fill, pads, erosion control and rough grade handed off ready for footings.
How We Work
- Modern, maintained equipment. Excavators, skid steers, mulching heads and dump trucks sized to the job, from mini machines that fit through a gate to iron that can move real volume.
- Operators who know the next trade. We build grade and compaction to the tolerance the concrete crew and the framer actually need.
- Communication. You will know when we are starting, what we found once we opened the ground, and when we are done.
- Clean sites. Spoil handled, debris hauled, road swept.
Licensed and Insured
We carry general liability and workers’ compensation coverage. A certificate of insurance is available on request, and we are happy to be added as an additional insured on contractor-run projects.
Local to Hampton Roads
We are based in the Hampton Roads area and work within about 35 miles of Norfolk. That means we know the soil, the water table, the ditch networks and the permit offices, and we are close enough to come back if something needs attention.
